All workshop projects are created to suit the organisations and groups involved. Discussions often start before funding is in place. The workshops have involved a mix of photography, digital video, art, creative writing, reminiscence and oral history.
Sessions are held either on a one-to-one basis or in groups and can involve intergenerational workshops. The number of sessions per project depends on the nature of the work and funding.

Friends and Family (July 2007-October 2007)
Friends and Family is a photography project running in a care home in Bethnal Green which aims to bring residents, carers and family together through photography workshops combined with individual and group reminiscence sessions. Through the workshops the residents learn more about each others lives, often discovering they used to live in the next street or buy their newspaper from someone else at the home!
Commissioned by Magic Me.
Sunshine and Memories (May 2006-May 2007)
Sunshine and Memories brought together younger and older people living in Lambeth to celebrate their holiday experiences. Through the project we examined the commonality of experience as well as the differences across generations in the changing world of holiday time. Over the year of the project, pupils from a local primary school met with older Lambeth residents to share their photographs and experiences, learn about photograpy and enjoy a trip to Bexhill-on-Sea. All participants learnt how to print their own black and whilte photographs and some of the older group also attended digital workshops to gain a basic knowledge of how to manipulate images in Photoshop. Everyone worked towards an exhibition which was held in various venues across Lambeth.
Sunshine and Memories helped to develop better understanding between the generations involved as well as providing the opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends and have fun. A booklet and small exhibition is available from Lambeth Arts. The project was funded and supported by Lambeth Libraries, Archives & Arts, Arts Council, Awards for All Spaces for Sports & Arts and Age Concern Lambeth.
The Ladies Bridge (Jan-Dec 2006)
Commissioned by Concrete History production and funded by Shell and Awards for All to run a series of reminiscence and intergenerational workshops for older people and school children
looking at the role of women during WW2. The material gathered fed into a documentary
film about the 24,000 women involved in construction during the war and specifically those who helped rebuild Waterloo Bridge during the war. Their voices have rarely been heard until now.
The Untold Story at Morden Hall Park (Sept 2004-Jan 2005)
Commissioned by the National Trust to collect memories of the park since
the 1930s. The memories gathered were then re-enacted with participants and a local youth drama group. Details and a short video are available from Morden Hall Park and the National Trust.
Women and Reminiscence Project (April - July 2004)
Commissined by the Foundation for Women Artists to work with a reminiscence group who met reguarly at the Cabinet War
Rooms and to create a piece of work that reflected their lives during WW2. Inspired by one of the women's stories about knitting socks for the men in the forces, I took the idea of knitting squares for blankets and stitching quilts as a shared experience, and looked for a way to translate this experience into my artwork. I transferred the idea of blanket squares into postcards, and produced a series of 72 which engaged with the themes which had arisen from the group's discussions. These formed the basis of a travelling exhibition and became part of a teaching pack for primary children in Westminster.
Outreach Digital Artist (Feb - Oct 2002)
Commissioned by Rosetta Life to establish an ourtreach programme in Lambeth working with individuals and groups on short ‘Life Stories’ videos. Groups included the Richard Dimbleby Cancer Day Centre at St Thomas's Hospital and Blackliners youth group in Brixton.
