PROJECTS
SCREEN DREAMS I set up and project managed the Screen Dreams initiative while working as Education Officer for Lifelong Learning at the British Film Institute. The aims were to to establish film clubs for older people either in cinemas, community venues or housing schemes, and to gather cinema-going oral histories. The oral history interviews became the basis of several intergenerational projects and a teaching pack on cinema-going and film. The Screen Dreams teaching pack for key stage 2 pupils encourages the exploration of film, not only as an art form in its own right, but as an historically important form of entertainment, part of our cultural heritage and an ever present, ever growing and changing industry enjoyed by people of all ages.
